MIKA NGUYEN

DEPUTY MANAGER – DOCUMENTATION TEAM

“The working environment and the training program provided by the company, followed by the tremendous opportunity allow me to sharpen my professional field and strengthen the relationship with my beloved colleagues”

My name is Mika Nguyen and I’m currently Documentation Team Leader in the Vietnam office.

I’ve got an MBA degree in Taiwan with over 6 years’ experience in the field of International Payment, Importing and Exporting. I’ve joined Welhunt for more than three years. Now, I’m in charge of guiding and managing my team to handle international, domestic contracts and the job related to the tenders, the customs clearance.

Since over 3 years I’ve been at Welhunt, I had a great opportunity to take part in many professional training courses. I also have the lucky chance to rotate from Taiwan’s Office to Vietnam’ office in March 2019. After a half of year working in Vietnam, I have been promoted to the position of Deputy Manager which gives me the chance to perceive the new vision about what I’m pursuing. This opportunity opens a new journey for me at Welhunt.

The biggest challenge of my team is making all shipments work smoothly but the most important thing is that all relevant counterparties are happy with what Welhunt has been serving until now. This new role brings me the favorable occasion to learn how to connect all members not only in the internal team but also with the other teams and the different counterparties to make the work efficient. It's not easy but I have a lot of fun with my team.

Life in our offices is busy and ever-changing. We also have a lot of stress in our work, however I enjoy and appreciate the time working with my team. We usually dine out after work or sometimes travel together at the weekend. It makes me feel Welhunt is like my second family. I am so proud of the wonderful members here.

How do you and your team unwind and recharge at work after working hard?

Understand that the work is much stressful, to refresh the working environment and the spirit for the team we often hang out together after the office time or have the short trip for a couple of days to relax and connect the members closer, then let them know that along with the work we also consider them as our relative or family member.
